Übergang is a project that explores time, memory, and the changing world of digital art and NFTs.
Artist D. Magner creates digital sketches from old photographs using apps on an iPhone. These works are then presented as high-quality Giclée prints and as collectible NFTs.
The project combines old family photographs with vintage German imagery. It looks at the idea of transition, or Übergang, between the physical and digital worlds. As artists and collectors, we are living through a period of change. New technology often brings uncertainty, fear, and hesitation, but over time, ideas shift and new forms of art become accepted.
A deck of cards contains 52 individual cards, plus 2 Jokers. This project takes inspiration from that format. The exhibition will include 10 digital drawings, each produced as an edition of 5, along with an NFT.
