I’ve always been drawn to new and inventive ways of expressing myself. While many artists tend to distrust technology, I find it endlessly fascinating, after all, oil paint was once considered cutting-edge, a bold leap forward from egg tempera. My own digital journey has been unfolding through www.virtualmuseum.art, which has been up and running for four years now and continues to host some exciting and unconventional projects. This year, I’ve begun a postgraduate programme in Creative Technologies and Emerging Media at the University of Galway, further exploring the possibilities that lie at the intersection of art and innovation. I’ll be sharing links here to experiments, tools, and ideas that others might find intriguing. It’s good to experiment, perhaps only one idea in ten has real value, but it’s the artist’s role to keep pushing boundaries and bringing new possibilities into the world.
